Friends Overview
We are very fortunate at Little Waltham to have an active and supportive fund raising committee, the Friends of Little Waltham Primary School. Any parent with a child at our school is a Friend. The Friends committee consists of those parents and carers who are willing to offer some of their own time to organise and support the various fund raising activities throughout the year.
The Friends committee organise various events and activities to raise money to enrich the lives of pupils by providing facilities, equipment and activities not normally provided by the Local Authority. This includes, but is not limited to, supporting the continued provision of regular swimming lessons for all pupils.
The main fund raising event is the Summer Fête. However the Friends organise an exciting programme of varying activities such as:
- Summer Fête
- Movie & Munch
- Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 Disco
- Easter Egg Raffle
- Quiz Night
- Christmas Bazaar
What do our children get out of these activities? Well, many like to spend time after school socialising with their friends in a less formal environment.
The committee is always looking for additional members who can offer help in any way. Regular newsletters keep everyone informed of forthcoming events and the ways in which you can help. Please ask the Receptionist or Office Manager if you would like to contact anyone on the committee.

Friends Meetings
The Friends meetings take place approximately once per half-term and will be arranged throughout the year with details of upcoming meetings posted here. We aim to time these so that more parents are able to join.
